University of Kurdistan Hewler Open Day

Kurdishaspect.com - By Bêwar Rwandzî

University of Kurdistan Hewler held its annual  Open Day on 16th of April and the event was well  attended by interested high school students and  their parents from the Kurdistan Region. The  event aimed at facilitating registration for new  students for the academic year 2012-2013.

The prospective students attended talks by UKH's senior management and academic staff explaining relevant issues which included admission requirements and procedures, degrees offered and life at UKH. It was stressed to the students that only 600 will be enrolled for the academic year 2012/2013 and that is extremely competitive as only 400 students were taken from last year's 2,600 applicants.

The students were also given a tour of the campus and had the opportunity to meet with the Head if Departments and discuss the range of degree programmes, including a number of new degrees, being offered in the coming academic year.

University of Kurdistan Hewler is an English-medium and Independent University in Iraq. The University of Kurdistan Hewler is an initiative of and is funded by the Regional Government of Kurdistan.
